Short Summary
Sovatun does not sell personal data and does not use personal data for advertising or cross-app tracking. Sovatun is designed to process only the account, device, VPN session, traffic quota and support information needed to provide the user-requested Tunnel service, keep it secure, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
Sovatun does not collect browsing history, visited URL lists, DNS query details, raw packet payloads, communication contents, advertising identifiers, payment card details, purchase receipts, or App Store transactions in the current iOS release.
1. Who We Are
Sovatun is provided by FRIDAY ZETA LIMITED. In this policy, “Sovatun,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to FRIDAY ZETA LIMITED and the Sovatun service. “You” and “your” refer to the person using Sovatun.
Sovatun is an iOS Private Tunnel app that uses Sign in with Apple, an iOS Packet Tunnel Network Extension, official Sovatun server nodes, traffic quota management, account/device management and support features.
2. Data We Collect
We collect only the data needed to provide and maintain the Sovatun service, authenticate accounts, manage devices, operate VPN sessions, calculate traffic quota, prevent abuse, and provide customer support.

3. Data We Do Not Collect
Sovatun is designed not to collect or store the following categories of data:
- Browsing history
- Visited URL lists
- DNS query details
- Raw packet payloads
- Communication contents
- Advertising identifiers
- Payment card details
- Purchase receipts or App Store transactions in the current iOS release
We do not sell VPN data and do not use Sovatun data for advertising or to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
4. VPN and Tunnel Data
Sovatun requires iOS VPN permission because it uses a Packet Tunnel Network Extension to provide the user-requested Tunnel service. Before iOS asks you to allow the VPN configuration, Sovatun explains the Tunnel permission and data use in the app.
To create and maintain a Tunnel session, Sovatun may process:
- Account entitlement and authentication status.
- Generated device identifier and selected node ID.
- VPN permission/profile status and Tunnel connection state.
- Session ID, session status, heartbeat status and service error codes.
- Encrypted server-issued configuration used by the device to start the Tunnel.
- Upload/download byte totals, quota totals, remaining traffic, cycle reset date and last update time.
Sovatun does not support third-party configuration import, external configuration links, QR code configuration import or manual protocol setup in the current iOS app.
5. How We Use Data
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- Provide, maintain and secure the Sovatun app and Tunnel service.
- Authenticate accounts through Sign in with Apple.
- Manage linked devices, active sessions, access tokens and device limits.
- Provision server-issued encrypted Tunnel configuration.
- Operate official server nodes and route user-requested Tunnel traffic.
- Calculate traffic quota, upload/download usage, usage warnings and cycle resets.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents and unauthorized service use.
- Respond to support requests and investigate user-submitted diagnostics.
- Send service, security, account or policy notices where appropriate.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
6. App Permissions
VPN Configuration
Sovatun asks iOS to add a VPN configuration so it can provide the Tunnel service. You can manage or remove VPN configurations in iOS Settings.
Sign in with Apple
Sovatun uses Sign in with Apple for account creation and authentication. Apple may provide your Apple user identifier and, depending on your Apple choices, your name, email address or private relay email address.
Optional Diagnostics
Diagnostics are optional and are used only when you choose to attach them to a support request or when they are needed to investigate a request you initiated.
7. Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data only as needed for the following purposes:
- With service providers that help us operate infrastructure, authentication, security, customer support, analytics for service reliability, and email delivery.
- With Apple where necessary for Sign in with Apple, App Store distribution, TestFlight or other Apple services you use.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process or a valid government request.
- To protect users, the public, Sovatun, FRIDAY ZETA LIMITED, or the integrity and security of the service.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
- With your consent or at your direction.
- In aggregated, de-identified or anonymized form that does not reasonably identify you.
8. International Transfers
Sovatun may be operated using servers and service providers in countries or regions outside where you live. When personal data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, such as contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
9. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including active account operation, Tunnel service operation, security, fraud prevention, support, dispute resolution, legal compliance and enforcement of our terms.
When data is no longer needed, we delete, de-identify or aggregate it where reasonably possible. Some limited records may be retained where required or permitted by law, for security, dispute resolution, abuse prevention, accounting, or legal compliance.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal data, including encryption in transit where appropriate, access controls, account authentication, device-bound identifiers, encrypted server-issued configuration, monitoring and operational safeguards.
No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting your Apple ID, device passcode, device security and access to your device.
11. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, port, or withdraw consent for certain personal data. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a regulator.
- You can disable optional diagnostic attachment in the app where available.
- You can request account deletion in the app. Deletion removes or disables account data, device links, active sessions and usage history, except limited records we are required or permitted to retain.
- You can remove or manage the VPN configuration through iOS Settings.
- You can contact us using the contact information below for privacy requests.
If you used Sign in with Apple to create your account, account deletion may also revoke or invalidate associated Sovatun authentication tokens where applicable.
12. Payments
In the current iOS release described by this policy, Sovatun does not collect payment card details, purchase receipts, or App Store transaction identifiers from the app. If commerce-related features are introduced in a later release, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy details as required.
Any Apple-managed purchase, if introduced in the future, would be handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy practices. We do not receive your payment card details from Apple.
13. Cookies and Website Data
Our websites may use cookies or similar technologies to keep essential sessions working, remember preferences, understand website performance and improve the service. Browser settings may let you block or delete cookies, but some website functions may not work without necessary cookies.
14. Children
Sovatun is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
15. Third-Party Services
Sovatun may include links to third-party services that we do not operate. This policy does not cover third-party services. Please review their privacy policies before using them.
Sign in with Apple, App Store, TestFlight and iOS system permission prompts are provided by Apple and may be subject to Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app, service, technology, legal requirements or business operations. If changes are material, we will provide notice as required by applicable law and update the effective date at the top of this page.
